Honey, I Dressed The Pug is a fantastic blog that showcases the stylish fashion designs of Maitri Mody and her pug, Ari. Maitri loves to tell stories of their adventures at dog-friendly coffee shops and restaurants in London. The blogs include amazing photos by talented photographers. Some of the skilled photographers include Margarita Karenko, Kashyap Sheth, and Ella H. Photography. In addition, Maitri shares the featured designs that Ari wore in each photo shoot. Sometimes Maitri coordinates outfits with Ari and gives the inside scoop on how to replicate her look. Furthermore, Maitri includes fashion trends as well as tips on how to coordinate with your dog. She collaborates with distinguished designers including animal activists.

It is no wonder that we have chosen to feature Ari as the hipster dog of the month. He definitely takes after his mom!

Hipster dog of the month

This pug hipster fashion designer is @honeyidressedthepug. His friends call him Ari. Ari has serious hipster swag! He wears ski hats that have bold grey stripes in combination with striped pullovers that have narrow black stripes. It is part of a hipster fashion designer’s prerogative to wear two clothing pieces with different size stripes and shade variations.

Mom and son coordinate outfits

Of course, Ari’s number one fan is his mom. She is so proud of his achievements! Ari’s mom likes his style so much that she coordinates outfits with him. In the cooler months they wear matching cashmere sweaters. In addition, Ari and his mom go in search of classic cars in Notting Hill on the weekends. Vintage is hipster, right?

Hipster work wear

In Ari’s opinion, red bowties with anchors are going to replace neckties at hipster offices worldwide. This pug hipster fashion designer believes that the bowties symbolize the ability of hipsters to adapt and set down anchors in many international cities. Surprisingly, he thinks star pullover sweaters are going to replace button-downs. In his mind, the pullover sweaters are symbolic of how individual hipsters are realizing that she/he can be their own North Star in her/his life. They no longer need to look towards other people for the answers and follow the norm. As a result, they are beginning to take more initiative in creative work projects.

Manly

Plaid. Plaid. Plaid. It is manly yet colorful and it is the way. There is nothing else to say.

Street style

Street style just got an upgrade. This pug hipster fashion designer knows street style as well as he knows how to lick his lips after a good dinner. He was born a New Yorker after all. Black, red, and grey are coordinated subtly between his shoes, sweatshirt, and neck decoration to make a perfect weekend outfit. High five to street style!

Denim

Thank goodness denim is no longer restricted to jeans because jeans do not flatter the pug physique. Pugs prefer to wear denim as bandanas. The denim bandanas create a flattering effect on their necks. Ari has designed a dark denim bandana that looks classically masculine and mature next to his mom’s lighter denim dress.

Glasses

Glasses are the one area in fashion where Ari does not feel the need to create a new hipster fashion trend. There is no need to change something that is already great. This is good because he only works with fabrics – not plastic and glass! When he puts on his glasses he suddenly feels compelled to read all of these post-modern philosophy books.

Roses are pink

Ari works many hours to create these fashion designs and trends. To stay balanced, he always stops to smell the roses. If the roses are too high to reach on a bush, then his mom gives him some roses to smell.

Red accents

This pug hipster fashion designer believes that an outfit is complete with accents that pop. Red is one of his favorite accents and as a result he wears red bandanas with subtle cream-colored tops. His mom coordinates with a red purse and her cream-colored jacket. Of course the red accents have them stand out in the London crowd.

Favorite pullover

In addition, his absolute favorite cozy pullover is his blue and white striped shirt. Ari feels the most comfortable and relaxed in this outfit and he subsequently wears it every week. He has only made this pullover design available outside of England because he doesn’t want any awkward run-ins with someone wearing the same outfit.

Pug muscle shirt

Because Ari loves the ladies, he created the perfect outfit to take a stroll downtown. He designed the perfect grey sweatshirt with frills at the neck and a snuggly fit, because he must show off all of his pug muscles.

Military print

His mom adores the military print. Check out her blog to learn more about this new fashion statement.

Overall, Ari is a pivotal pug in the hipster fashion movement and yet, he is like many other pugs that love to cuddle with their moms at the end of the day.
