When I arrived at the Five Seas, the hotel manager greeted me by name. I had arrived at the hotel past check-in and he knew my name based on the list of new guests and that I was from the U.S. This personalized attention makes this hotel special.
He said with pride that he is a Cannes man and has been his whole life. Furthermore, he encouraged me to visit a small medieval village in the hills, Saint Paul de Vence, that he thought I would really enjoy.
Afterward, the hotel manager showed me to an upgraded suite with elegant neutral colored brown hued décor and bedding, a plush King bed, and a bathroom with all the works. A lovely French perfume was left in the room as a gift. I immediately felt very relaxed and at home.
